A four-step approach
1. Establish a central meeting point online
Sakai can serve as a portal to all of the online options listed on this site.
Instructions for creating a Sakai course site are available:
Basics of Sakai@UD.
2. Consider what course elements can be handled online
There are three general categories:
- Options where participants must be present at the same time (synchronous)
More
- Options where participants need not be present at the same time (asynchronous)
More
- Options for asynchronous recording that require the availability of UD facilities and/or ATS staff
More
3. Determine your delivery method
Your technology choice will typically determine the most appropriate delivery method.
- You can send messages and attachments to all students on your roster using PO Box.
- To organize a large number of files for student references, use Sakai Resources.
Instructions for using Sakai Resources are available: Sakai@UD content delivery.
- To send large files to one or more recipients, use UD Dropbox.
4. Inform your students
- Email to each student via the Univerity of Delaware's online PO Box.
- Post an announcment using Sakai Announcements.
